Helm.ai is a U.S.-based company that develops artificial intelligence-based driving technology for autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and robotics. The company has raised a total of $102 million in funding, with its latest $55 million Series C round led by Freeman Group. Helm.ai’s key technology, called “Deep Teaching,“allows it to train neural networks for autonomous driving without the need for fleet data, simulation, or annotation. The company’s AI software covers the entire autonomous driving stack, including perception, intent modeling, path planning, and vehicle control, and is targeted at ADAS, SAE Level 4 autonomous driving, and robotics applications. Helm.ai is led by co-founder and CEO Vlad Voroninski and is planning to showcase its technology at upcoming industry events.
